Overall

We are 5 months or so into getting some chairs redone. After returning 2 due to poor workmanship we are having trouble getting him to return them and he won't return phone calls. He won't even respond to the BBB request. This man should not be in business. I would not suggest anyone I know to use him. We paid a lot of money for this work and he still refuses to call or he will tell us he is going to deliver and we never hear from him.

Overall

Getting nervous after reading the other reviews. He is not returning my phone calls and now I have no idea when to expect my loveseat or what kind of shape it will be in. This was my husbands favorite piece of furniture...devastated.

The absolute worst quality, service. White sofas with brown thread and zippers!! Pillows without lining!! Fabric scratchy lie grade. Waiting 3 months now waiting for them to return pillows for sofa. Said they would deliver three times now. Never showed up and never call. Charged me on credit line before they even delivered sofas! Dont believe a word they tell you! Be afraid people be very afraid.

Never Ending Saga

Our experience with LeGrande was unpleasant from the start to the much delayed finish:



1. After waiting 3 weeks past the promised delivery date for our two chairs and failure to answer numerous phone messages, we were informed the fabric was out of stock. Why weren't we notified of this? We had to wait a couple of extra months (total 3 months) for delivery.



2. When the chairs were finally delivered, the workmanship was extremely poor and we refused to pay. When the owner came to inspect the chairs he was nasty and didn't want to correct the problem. He finally relented and took the chairs back.



3. After a couple of more months and numerous unanswered voice mails, the chairs were finally delivered.

The overall workmanship was OK this time. However, the the pillow from one chair was covered with the fabric from another, so the pillow had to go back.



4. After about a month, we got the pillow back, but the vertical pattern fabric was applied the wrong way. We kept it as is.



Think twice about using LeGrande. The price is enticing, but the experience is awful. Terrible customer service and poor workmanship!!! Forgot to mention, the fabric provided wasn't of the quality promised.

I had a chair recovered by this company. The older gentleman who runs the company brought old fashioned samples. The work was decent and timely. However, several months later the cushion started fraying. I called and emailed to no avail. When I contacted the BBB they finally contacted me. The guy said his wife had cancer or something but, even so, he could have called and told me that and that he'd get to me when he could. They redid the cushion and it hasn't refrayed - however he had said he would put piping around it to minimize fraying and he didn't. I'd say - so-so service.

Don't expect a call back if you have a problem with his work.

I had a chair reupholstered and this company was supposed to make a head pillow to match the chair. The head pillow was not on the chair when it was returned and the deliverymen called the company to let him know and he said he would get the pillow out to me some time that week, this was back on May 22, 2008. We paid the bill in full figuring the pillow would be delivered. To date, June 23, 2008, we have left four messages and have yet to get a call back from this company. This man who obvisously owns this Langrandes needs a lesson in courtesy. My message today to him was that I am going to call the better business bureau and 9 on your side.
