        Recognized as one of Carmel's most prominent event designers for over ten years, Rachel Eakins, previous owner of "Blooms by the Sea", has relocated to Grass Valley to bring her creative and progressive floral design concepts to the Sierra Foothills and Sacramento areas. Art in Bloom, which is owned and operated by Rachel Eakins, provides the very highest in quality floral design for weddings, commercial displays, and special events. Please browse some of the many samples posted on our website and call for your own personal consultation and custom floral creation. Rachel has worked in the hospitality industry all her life and understands the importance of providing professional and reliable service. She has owned and operated her own floral design company in Carmel since 1992. Rachel spent five years as the manager of the Highlands Inn Floral Department. She was responsible for oversight for the floral designs and decorations for the annual Masters of Food and Wine, an elite extravagant event that is highly regarded in the food and wine industries. In addition, Rachel created the flowers for over 200 weddings each year. The Highlands Inn Executive Committee honored her with the Manager of the Quarter award. She has twice been offered the position of Floral Design manager at Pebble Beach Resorts, which includes the Inn at Spanish Bay, but chooses to remain operating independently.

        Rachel did the flowers for my wedding and they were beautiful! She was very professional and great to work with. She listened and the flowers turned out just the way I envisioned them. I highly recommend her!

        My father recently passed and Rachel the owner provided the flowers for the memorial , she was very warm and caring, and the arrangements were beautiful.She even included some mini sunflowers a favorite of my dads.In my family's time of grieving it was wonderful to deal someone who really seemed to consider our feelings and anticipate our needs. Thank you

        I called Art In Bloom Flowers after 6:00 pm and the lady not only answered their phone, it sounded like she was smiling! I needed flowers delivered for a funeral before 11:00 the next morning and she assured me she would have them there.....and she did! Pleasant lady and a speedy delivery. Thanks!
