Les Schwab Tires

Do not bring your vehicle to Les Schwab!!!!! (unless you want it broken and scratched)



I just purchaced a used cadillac escalade in perfect condition. Two weeks later I brought it in for a slow leak repair on one tire. They asked if I would also like the tires rotated and I agreed. After about 1 1/2 hours they called me to say it was ready. They pulled the vehicle to the front of the store and the tech came to me and said that he had some problems, he showed me that one of my hub caps were missing. He stated that the tire fell off the truck and landed on the hubcap while he was rotating the tires. Then he said he would replace it but I should look at replacing the other three because they are loose. I agreed to purchase the other three.

I then took my truck to the car wash and at that moment noticed a large 2" scratch in the paint on the wheel well of the tire (same wheelwell as the leaking tire). I took the truck back to show them the new scratch, they said that there is no way that they did it. I had the manager come out and the tech told him what happened with the tire falling off and still no way did this scratch also happen. This was not there when I looked at the tire the night before.

The story continues, the hubcaps come in and I get a call to come down. When I get there the same tech that broke them originally and scratched my truck comes out with something wrapped up in saran wrap. I open it up and it is scratched up used hubcaps that were bought off e-bay or something and two of them had broken clips so they couldn't be used at all. I picked the best one to replace the one they broke and sent the rest back with him. All around bad service, bad business practice, and bad tech advice. I would not bring a vehicle in to Les Schwab if they paid Me!

Take you car or truck to Plaza Tire. That's what I did after les schwab treated me like some bum off the street when I have been a loyal customer ever since they opened in grass valley, well not anymore.

Great place to buy tires. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Will always get tires and alignments here.

Buyer Beware. They will sell generic tires without a warranty for the same price you can get name brand tires at other tire stores with a warranty. Rude front desk.

They even did a brake job for me in Reno recently. I have been buying their tires for years and they are very dependable.

I buy all my tires from them-- fast, efficient and I even had my rotors turned (brakes) and they did a good job.
