Farragut Intermediate School, founded in 1973, offers learning opportunities to students in grades three through five. The school offers classes in art, music, physical education, reading and math. It manages a parent-teacher association that provides membership options, as well as organizes family nights, fundraising events and open houses. Farragut Intermediate School also offers guidance counseling services. The school administers special education, English as a Second Language, English Language Learners, and gifted and talented programs. In addition, its campus features a cafeteria, computer laboratory and library media center. Farragut Intermediate School is one of the educational facilities managed by Knox County Schools, which governs middle, elementary and high schools.
