Salon Vivace

What a pleasant break from the norm. This salon is in an historic house in Pleasanton and whomever decorated it, they did a fantastic job.

My stylist was Katie Tavres - what a wonderful young lady. At first, she had a barrage of questions and it seemed odd but, after a while I got it. She wanted to know how I wear my hair so she could do the cut around my bad habits.

So, another bad habit I have is cutting my own hair. When I am at my desk and, if my bangs won't stay out of my eyes, I go a cut my bangs. I'm a technical writer and not a stylist so you can imagine what they looked like. But, she worked around my styling snafu and fixed it all up.

I greatly recommend Katie for her styling and coloring expertise. And, let's not forget how important conversation is when you're at a salon for hours. Although Katie is young, (and I am not) she was able to keep me engaged with some pretty interesting conversation.
