Provided by SuperpagesPokz is the nickname of Alfonso Reyes whom along with his father started this family run eatery back in 1994. Its a funky cool Mexican place. I do not know if the atmosphere and attitude make the food taste better or the food makes the atmosphere better, but whatever it is this is my favorite taco shop in town. Here is why. Its the first place Ive seen that breaks down stereotypes, by using the same medium and modern style that every other hip downtown eatery uses for its dcor. Urban hip-hop and post low-rider pop. Home grown food (being green and supporting local suppliers), local artisans on the wall (donated and not for sale.), low key San Diego attitude, and a collegiate esprit dcorp. Its got freshman named smith waiting tables (multicultural), and Quetzalcoatl on a skateboard as a logo. Come on, I dare you to find another Mexican restaurant in town that can laugh at itself and be itself so well. The food is good, really good. The vibe is great, in a kid to granddad way. Its

I think Pokez spot is cool. I love the food over any mexican resturant hands down. They serve the freshest ingrediants I've ever tastied. Not only is there food wonder but the staff there is amazing you feel right at home when you walk inside. The people are friendly loving and know the value of customer service. I would eat there everyday if I could. Finally, we are in a ression people can barely afford to eat out with todays prices. With Pokez resonable menu it just cost a few dollars to enjoy great food.I enjoy enlimited, fresh chips and sasla plus a great meal and a drink all for under $8 bucks. If you haven't tryed this resturant you haven't eat great food you don't know what your missing.
LOVE YOU GUYS ALOT,
JANEA
