Somerset Park Apartments

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE APARTMENTS/LOFTS!! The first month I moved in my vehicle was broken into, even after being told there was security on site. I never saw any security on the premises, nor was any action taken by the manager or owner. The second break in was just this past October, 2017 as well as two other vehicles that were broken into. Still nothing was done, in fact the Manager Jules showed zero concern and harassed me several times when I was only a couple weeks late on rent due to the burglaries on the premises. There were several maintenance issues that took place including a leak in the roof which resulted in a musty smell in the loft and black mold. They did not work with me, and in speaking to a former resident they have been known for wrongful evictions and keeping damage deposits without fixing damages prior to moving in. This place is by far the worst managenent I have seen in the 16 years I have lived in Albuquerque and the Manager and her staff were very unprofessional in handling my situation. She will not work with you, DO NOT RENT HERE!!

At first the price seems decent. The first day we moved in we were guaranteed it was safe and that night the apartment next door was robbed. There are gun shots every night. A dead woman was found in the trash area, the cops are constantly doing drug busts on the streets or in the apartment complex. Another thing is that it never truly feels like a home because at the very least they (the complex employees) barge into your apartment even if you aren't there, and it's usually for bogus reasons like checking on the screens or plumbing (things that should be done by request and before you move in). The pool they promise for the summer is only open for 1-2 months. Overall, I would never move here or renew a lease. It is the WORST apartment complex.
