Dr. McElroy is the best. You know immediately she and her staff truly care for their patients. She has treated my pets for the past ten years and has managed to keep my 20 year old feline healthy and sassy. She recently added laser therapy to her list of services. After nine sessions, our old gal was jumping and climbing the steps like she did in her younger years. The results were dramatic after the first few sessions. The spring in her step has been restored, and we once again can enjoy a more active kitty.

Dogs require regular bathing to keep their skin and coat healthy, and brushing between baths will get rid of tangles and mats. Take a peek at your pet's bottom every now and then to make sure it isn’t matted or infected. A foul smell signals trouble. With dogs, scooting is often a sign that there is a problem.

One full year after the puppy vaccination series is completed, we recommend yearly vaccinations of leptospira (a bacterial infection), bordetella (kennel cough), and borrelia (Lyme disease) as needed. We also recommend vaccinations of rabies and DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) every 3 years.
Feline Retro Virus Treatment
One full year after the kitten vaccination series is completed, we recommend yearly vaccinations of FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) as needed. We recommend vaccinations of rabies and FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis) every 3 years.

When bathing your dog, make sure to cover their ears to prevent water from entering the ear canal. This can cause discomfort for the dog. Water and moisture that stay in the ear canal after bath times can change the pH balance inside their ears, letting bacteria and yeast multiply at a fast rate. This will lead to painful and unpleasant ear infections that are hard to get rid of. You can cover your dog’s ear by placing cotton balls inside to absorb water that may possibly go in.

We suggest yearly dental cleanings for pets that have tendencies to have gingivitis, plaque and calculus build up, under bites, overbites, rotated teeth and over lapping teeth. We encourage dental radiograph with every cleaning for pathology below the gums that can not be seen. We can apply a sealant to slow down calculus build up and fluoride to your pets teeth at a dental cleaning.

To ensure that your pet returns home safely, you should ask us about microchipping. Microchipping is a safe and effective way to be reunited with your pet if they are lost or leave home.
