The Benicia Historical Museum at the Camel Barns is housed in four 1850s sandstone buildings in the heart of the historic Benicia Arsenal District. Highlighting unique local history from the Patwin Tribe through the present day, the Museum tells the tale of how this historic city on the Carquinez Strait reflects the exciting changes in the state of California since the city's founding in 1847.
