Andrew C. McClelland, MD, PhD, is Attending Physician, Neuroradiology at Montefiore and Assistant Professor, Radiology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical focus is on diagnostic neuroradiology, pediatric neuroradiology, head and neck radiology, and spine radiology.After receiving his Bachelor of Science from Duke University in 2001, Dr. McClelland went to University of Pennsylvania where he obtained his PhD in Neuroscience in 2008, followed by his Doctor of Medicine in 2010. Dr. McClelland completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Cooper University Hospital in 2011 and a residency in Radiology at Montefiore in 2015. In 2015, he started a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, completing it in 2017.Dr. McClelland’s research interests include diagnostic imaging of the adult and pediatric nervous system. Dr. McClelland has published on epilepsy imaging and traumatic brain injury in many peer-reviewed journals, and he has contributed to several abstracts, book chapters, and editorials.In 2009, Dr. McClelland received the Dr. William F. Jeffers Research Prize, recognizing meritorious laboratory research in the field of neurology, from the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology with subspecialty certification in diagnostic neuroradiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the New York Roentgen Society, and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
