Mount Aviat Academy is a Catholic, privately held coeducational school. Established in 1969, the academy is accredited by the Middle Atlantic States Accreditation Association. It conducts classes in several subjects, including language arts, science, mathematics, social studies, reading, grammar and spelling. Mount Aviat Academy also offers various academic programs that include sessions in French, religious studies physical education, computer programming, creative writing, and art and music. Additionally, it employs a guidance counselor, development director, nurse, teachers and instructors. The school s extracurricular activities include volleyball, basketball and softball. In addition, it organizes parent-teacher meetings, book fairs and annual functions. Mount Aviat Academy is located in Childs, Md.
