MedStar Health is a nonprofit, community-based health care organization that owns and operates seven hospitals and more than 15 other health care businesses in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Its hospitals include Franklin Square Hospital Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Harbor Hospital, Union Memorial Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, National Rehabilitation Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. MedStar Health is one of largest employers with a staff of over 25,000 people and nearly 5,000 affiliated physicians. It offers medical services in the fields related to cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, rehabilitation, orthopedics, women s services, emergency and trauma care. Georgetown University Hospital, National Rehabilitation Hospital and Washington Hospital Center offer a range of international services, including interpretation, transportation arrangement and visa assistance for patients.
