I called Mr. Saydam to see if my RCA (D52W20) was worth fixing. It had a serious convergence issue. I researched the issue online, bought the kit, which included a fuse, and tried to fix it myself. Needless to say, I'm not a tv repairman. Mr. Saydam was up front and told me the cost range to see if that's what I was willing to spend. He came out to the house THAT DAY and fixed it. This wasn't as simple as switching out one board for another. He had to basically perform an operation, pulling out fuses, capacitors and whatever else and soldering in new ones. Watching him work you could tell Mr. Saydam knew exactly what he was doing...like a highly skilled surgeon. I guess 40+ years of experience will do that. Mr. Saydam was very kind and a joy to talk with during the process. Almost as if my Uncle was over fixing my tv. If ever I have a tv issue again, Mr. Saydam will be my first call...and he should be yours too. THANKS Mr. Saydam. It would have easily cost 3x what I paid to replace it.

I was with Mr. Sadyam for my 3...

I was with Mr. Sadyam for my 32 inch fried Sony LCD TV. He explained me what can be the causes and what are the charges to fix them. He said to open the back cover it will cost me $65. To change power supply it will cost me $180, and then other board will be additional $220.. But I was not interested in spending that much money on my LCD TV which I had purchased new for $300. I told him I will trash it. Then he advised me that I should give a try, by replacing the fuse on the power board. He also showed me the location of fuse on the power board, on an another open LCD TV he had. Also he helped me to know the exact ampere rating of the fuse. I went home, and replaced the fuse as he told me and my TV is working like a charm. Thanks to Mr. Sadyam for not letting me trash my TV.

We have used Mr Saydam at leas...

We have used Mr Saydam at least 4 times over the past 5 years to fix TV's , VCR's and other electronics. The repairs are always done correctly and in a timely fashion and for a reasonable price. He will also tell you if something is not worth repairing and better just to get a new one instead.

Highly Recommended!!!

Would recommend to anyone needing TV repair in the Columbia area. I called in the morning and my TV was repaired in home that afternoon. Very friendly, informative, and professional repair experience.

Excellent service-In shop or in your home

I have called upon Saydam Electronics Service twice for TV repairs since I moved to Columbia.

One time was in his shop, the other he came to my house. Both times Mr. Saydam performed the repairs as required, then went beyond what was simply required and performed additional component replacement to higher quality components at no additional charge.

Neither TV has has to be repaired since, and one of them was fixed in 2001.
