Advanced Physical Therapy Dearborn

Horrible parent company, where money is first and patients are last.



I have, previously, needed Physical Therapy services in the past and have gone elsewhere. In every other case, while under my current insurance contract, these services have been paid in full by BCBS. Not at "Advanced Physical Therapy" though. Due to the way they billed my insurance, over $500 was kicked back to me. They didn't let me know that the insurance was refusing any payment for 2 months and let me unknowingly accrue a huge bill. In fact, when the first bill came they labeled it "overdue". I even asked a few times, when I first started there, if there was an office visit copay and was told "I don't know" each time. If I would have known about the insurance matters, I could have discontinued therapy there and gone somewhere that bills BCBS correctly. But maybe that’s why they waited two months to tell me.



To handle the matter of my bill, I had to contact the Dearborn office. There I spoke with Megan, and then Gabriela. In each case, I was met with a very unapologetic, "not my problem" attitude. In fact in the last conversation with Gabriela I flat-out told her that I was not trying to get out of the bill, I was trying to tell her where her office went wrong so this can be corrected and nobody else has to go through it. She didn't comprehend. She just wielded the same reply that everyone else did, "You signed a piece of paper that says that you are responsible for what your insurance doesn't pay".



I just came here because it was nice and close to my house, but it has been a very costly lesson for me. Please don't make the same mistake as me. Avoid this company at all costs.
