        Dekalb Farmers Market was founded in 1977 as a compact urban produce market. The company operates a world market in a 140,000-square-foot facility in Decatur, Ga. Dekalb Farmers Market provides a variety of services, such as an in-house bakery, with more than 175 varieties of fresh baked breads, rolls, bagels, muffins, cakes, cookies and pastries; a floral department, with fresh and exotic flowers from Holland, Hawaii, Georgia, California and Florida; and a recycling center that accepts magazines, newspapers, glass, plastic, aluminum, steel and cardboard. Dekalb also features a meat shop, with beef, pork, chicken and seafood; deli, with sliced meats and cheeses; produce department, with fruits, vegetables, herbs, juices and specialty products; and a beer and wine shop.

        amazing selection and quality

        This place is amazing. You know it's good when it's where the chefs shop for their food. They have everything, things I had never heard of. Wine, bulk grains, veggies and fruit, the best cheese selection, meats, prepared cakes and sauces, truly a rare find. The prices are unbeatable-- compare with whole foods and it's no contest. Plus the organic selections are a fraction more expensive, and they tell you where most produce comes from so you can decide what you want to purchase. Highly recommended. Shop during the week if you can, when the crowds are smaller. And be kind in the parking lot.

        You have to see this place!!!

        we have drove from Nc a couple of times to got here and take back the fresh produce cheeses and seafood and market products that you cannot find anywhere else and the price is outstanding !!! Emeril openned a new location in Atlanta just so he could use this farmers market !!!! Watch the show on food network!

        A local favorite of mine

        If you can't find that "hard to find" ingredient here, you can't find it anywhere. I go sometimes just for fun, to browse and see all the "wierd" live seafood and unusual fruits and vegetables.
