Markenhaus Manor

our kid seem quite happy at the manor. The owners re very accommodating including giving meds if needed. Only wish they could run in the open field every day rather than leash walks at the extra cost.

My dog's eye was out of its socket when I picked her up from Markenhaus after a recent 3 night stay. Keeper said he noticed the injury at 6:30 am but did not call me until 8:37 am. He did not contact his on-call vet, nor did he take my dog to the vet 20 seconds up the street. He made excuses and became defensive with me when I started asking questions. My dog now has blindness in the injured eye. I will NEVER use Markenhaus again.

Markenhaus is a good kennel. We boarded with them once already and the 'kids' are going back for their spring break at the Manor. The dogs like it.

Markenhaus Manor is NOT a good neighbor. Weekends and holidays are the worst but even on weekdays the barking is often almost continuous from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm. The owners have responded to respectful requests for improvement with denial and rancor. If you board your dog at Markenhaus or buy a dog from them you are doing the neighbors of the facility a serious disservice. Now that this is a residential area they should update to an enclosed facility like others in the area now are.
