Ear Infections
Colds, upper respiratory infections, and URIs are common terms we use to describe viral illnesses that cause nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, and cough. The fever usually lasts for 2-3 days, and the cough with congestion and runny nose may last for 5-10 days. The typical preschool-age child may experience 6-10 colds per year. Most colds resolve on their own with rest and fluids, but some may lead to ear infection, sinus infection, asthma attack, or other complications. If you are concerned about the possibility of one of these complications, please have your child seen in our office for an evaluation.

Ear piercing, Typhoid vaccination. Balance Billing, or Surprise Billing, also occurs when care is provided by out-of-network providers. If you receive care from an out-of-network provider, you will be required to pay the difference between what your plan agreed to pay and the full amount charged for the service. This is "balance billing." Under certain circumstances, you are protected from balance billing. For example, if you receive emergency services from an out-of-network provider or facility, the most you can be billed is your in-plan's cost-sharing amount; you cannot be balance billed for the emergency services.

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your actual appointment time and to please remember to bring your Photo ID and Insurance card with you at this visit. We ask that ALL patients complete a variety of screening questionnaires prior to the visit; In this age group, we are particularly interested in risk behaviors and mental health issues like depression, anxiety and body image. These questionnaires may take some extra time and should be completed by your adolescent THEMSELVES.
Behavioral Health
Requests for ALL OTHER APPOINTMENTS (WITH FEW EXCEPTIONS) will be scheduled as usual with face-to-face in office visits. Telemedicine visits may be arranged, as needed, for some behavioral health follow ups and other general healthcare concerns not requiring an in-person phsyical evaluation.
