Paid 160.00 because it was during the week and it was a 10% discount. The stylist was there on time but it was freezing cold, I ask about turning the heat up and she said it was broken. Sat there for 5 hours cold. When I was finished, the stylist hurried and dipped my hair in hot water to keep them straight when I wanted it curled. When I explained this to the stylist she said it was too late. The guy at the counter had a nerve to ask did I want to tip. On top of everything my style is barely lasting a month. Money wasted.

They don't even deserve a star! So I decided to take my 14 year old daughter there. Previously we have been going to laurin's African hair braiding but she was booked and we needed a quick back to school hair do. We decided to try kamerica cause it was close and was less expencive than the other places in Salisbury. that was a HUGE mistake! When they finished my daughters hair it looked big but I assumed it was the way they pulled it back. My daughter was tired so I took her home and too it out of its rubber band to find out it was huge there were too many braids! And the ends were just horrible. We IMMEDIATLY called them and took her back to get it fixed. After an additional hour it looked somewhat flatter but still looked bad. My daughter was falling asleep in the chair she had been sitting for a total of 7 hours her head was starting to bleed from all the pulling! We payed them and left unsatisfied! She starts her sophomore year in three days and it's devastated that she will have to start school looking like this! I will never return and I advise everyone else not to. I don't think thease women are professionals. Saw one of them practicing her braiding on a doll!

This salon is just great! I was amazed by the work done on my hair. The atmosphere is friendly; and on top of that, the stylists use real African braiding techniques. Kamerica also offer free Wi-Fi, sodas and bottles of water to customers.
