Aspen Landing

We held our daughter's wedding reception here and we were very pleased with the affordable price, as compared with other reception center's prices. We also enjoyed the photo opportunity backgrounds--the huge front door, the water wheel and rock wall in the outdoor garden area, and the sweeping stairs leading up to a grand piano and bride's room. My daughter liked the less formal feel of the Tuscany decor, and I liked a place that my neighbors didn't have to drive downtown--with all its traffic congestion problems--to attend. Admittedly, the parking is limited but we didn't hear complaints from our guests. We weren't allowed to set up much in advance, but the staff there were exceptionally helpful to work around that limitation. In fact, they helped us set up many of our table decorations and tie bows on the chairs. I will recommend Aspen Landing Reception Center to my friends.

By far and away nicer than most of those other, often tacky, reception centers around the valley. Nice decor. The style is Tuscany with an attractive, secluded garden outside. Shop around. You'll find that Aspen Landing's prices are probably a little more reasonable than elsewhere. For something different we went with the ice cream bar. Aspen Landing worked it out with Leatherby's, who provided the bar, a couple of waiters, and more ice cream and toppings than we could consume. Our guests loved it. Mix and match sundaes of their choice. Much better, they all seemed to agree, than the standard finger sandwiches, nut cups, and slush punch. It's easily accessible from Redwood Road, but be careful you don't drive past it. It's not readily seen up the little drive that leads to it.

Nice LITTLE place - go early and hope you might find parking. It is very hard to access and the food is not very good, at all. The lines has no where to form, but outside in the cold or heat of the season.
