        Established in 2003, an independent agency, San Diego County Regional Airport Authority works to manage daily operations of San Diego International Airport, which is one of the busiest single-runway commercial service airports of the United States. It also addresses long-term air transportation needs of the airport. The authority serves as the Airport Land Use Commission and ensures the adoption of land use plans that protect public health and safety in various airports throughout the U.S. The authority has been established by state law and is governed by a member-appointed board. San Diego County Regional Airport Authority is comprised of more than 5,000 people. It conducts various outreach programs and provides contracting and procurement opportunities for individuals at the airport. The authority is located in San Diego.

        Small airport. Easy to get around. Southwest gates 1 and 2 in a separate very small area. Not much to choose from for eating a quick meal. There is a bar.

        This airport was very clean i have to give the service people much praise. Such a huge airport and they keep it so clean. The staff was always friendly to me and helpful when I came there.

        Both times I went to see my brother I flew into SAN. The airport staff keep this airport running smoothly. They are also very friendly. The layout of the airport made finding things easier.
