Stix Restaurant

We went there last night got there at 6 and was told 45-1 hr wait. 2.5 hrs later....I'd asked 4 times how much longer we would have to wait and the hotesses were rude every time and said things like, "we don't have the list and the mgrs keep it." After the 4th time of going up there we were given a pager and told it would be 20 more mins. After the 20 mins was up a nice waitress had seen up waiting for 2 hours and 20 mins and asked us were we eating there tonight? She finally told the mgr....who did nothing....the mgr only came over to us after we'd ordered and told us they were out of the meat we'd ordered. I was so po'ed. I told her we'd never be back. This is sad bc my husband and I love the food here, but this is the 2nd time this has happened to us with the same incident. Our bill was 100 and we had great food and service from the waiter, but the hostesses and the manager were absolutley horrible. We were trying to impress our out of town company and ended up being aweful.

The food was really good, but ...oh my! Give the hostess some hospitality training! To me, the hostess should be friendly and make guests feel welcome but the one we encountered at this Stix restaurant was a sourpuss to say the least. She looked at us with such disdain and spoke to us with her back turned to us (we are not that ugly I promise and we do not smell bad or have heads sprouting out of our shoulders). I told my husband that if the waiter greeted us with the same disdain, we were out of there. Our waiter must have heard me because he grinned up a storm and bugged us about the food so many times it was ridiculous: "Yup, the food is as good now as 2 minutes ago). And the place need some serious cleaning. The decor is nice, but filthy: Please use windex on the windows instead of a dirty rag. And the whole place smelled like dirty/sour mop. Oh, and our table was sticky, sticky, sticky!! Yuck!! But the food was good:-)

Good food...especially love the hot 'n sour soup
